THE PROVINCIAL ITT CHAMPIONSHIP is a GO!!!
The Provincial ITT Championship takes place on the outskirts of Canmore, on Sunday, August 10th, 2008. The course is an out-and-back, along the rolly and scenic Highway 1A, with distances, depending on category, at 15km, 30km and 40km, total. All categories will start on Highway 1A, near the intersection of Highway 1A and the intersection of Elk Run Boulevard, in Canmore (kitty-corner to the RCMP station).

The following medal categories will be hosted at the Provincial Championship ITT:
Paralympic (Distance to be determined)
U15 Male/Female; U17 Male/Female; Junior Female - 15km
Junior Male - 30km
Master Men A - F; Master Women A - D; Women B; Open Women/Women A; Cat 3, 4, 5 and Open Men/Cat 1/2 = all 40 km
The first rider will be off at 8:31am, with competitors following at 1-minute intervals.
Registration: As per ABA regulations all riders must have a valid UCI road license to compete in a Provincial Championships.
Fees: Fees for the event $30 and $10 for Paralympic, U17, and Junior riders. To pre-register through email, or for clubs/teams paying for more than one rider with a single cheque, please contact Kipp, at kipp@albertabicycle.ab.ca
Pre-Registration: Registration can take place online, via Karelo or by cheque, for those who opt to pre-register via email.
The registration cut-off is 4:00pm, Saturday August 9th. The start list will posted by 8:00pm, Saturday evening on the Calgary Bike Week website
“Last Chance” Registration: “Last chance” registration is at Elizabeth Rummel School onSunday morning between 7 am and 8:15 am only; late registrants will be subject to a $10.00 late fee.
Day Licenses: Day licenses are available to general or club members of the ABA. These members are able to contest the event, however they are not eligible for Provincial Championships medals, prizes or points. Day license riders must ride in either Cat 5 or Women B categories.
- If you belong to an ABA-affiliated club, the day license fee is $10.00.
- If you do not belong to an ABA-affiliated club, the day license fee is $35.00 ($25 for insurance/$10 for license fee).
Day-licenses will be available at Elizabeth Rummel School on Sunday, from 7 am to 8:15 am only.
Sign on and License Check: All riders must sign-on and have their licenses checked prior to racing. This will take place at Elizabeth Rummel School, Sunday, August 10th, beginning at 7:00am. Please sign-on a minimum of 20 minutes before your race.
Number Placement: Please ensure that your race number is securely pinned (8 or more pins, please) flat to your lower back. If finish-line commissaires are unable to read your number, the results will read “rider number undetermined.”
